Robert E. Petras - One Poem

Do you think that is your name,
your seed, that through the centuries,
the generations, your line
has escaped invasion, rape, infidelity,
You don’t even own your soul
You, I we, they,
are all John Doe.
Robert E. Petras is a poet and fiction writer from Toronto, Ohio. His work has appeared in a variety of genres in more than 150 publications.
