if it’s good enough for Pontius,
it’s good enough for me.

On the Anniversary of My Submission

Dear Editor, I’d like to know what law
of science says that in the time it takes
the Earth to make a circuit of the Sun,
an impulse in your brain cannot traverse
a neural synapse just a micron wide
to trigger a decision, yes or no.
