Michael Mc Aloran - Five Poems

Beyond

Curse oh my gardenias

The bled eyes of the night

Crushed underfoot bludgeoned

Dissipating

Silence beyond flesh

Breath

From frozen hands

The locked kiss I am bled silent

Where was my sun I had eaten my sun

I have the breath of the dead

Dirt

Born lifeless you are my laughter

I am peeling the skin from walls of death

Triumphant the night brays

You tasted only of dirt where am I now?

Breathe

A barbed-wire smile elects laughter

Pulling the teeth from dead airs I am electric

The sky birthed from the palms of absence

We are worthless yet still in song we breathe

Extinguish

An abyss of teeth

There unto the fragment sucking dead stones

The breeze caresses like the chill of death

I am laughter

(I in laughter)

Extinguish vile breath
