Richard Schnap - One Poem

Ghost City

The bus grumbles past
A tired old man
Coughing dim memories

As the passengers look out
Photos of the missing
Waiting to be found

In a rusty landscape
Of vacant lots and weeds
A chain-linked Eden

Where earthbound angels
Stitch second-hand wings
For daydreams of flight

Richard Schnap is a poet, songwriter and collagist living in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. His poems have most recently appeared locally, nationally and overseas in a variety of print and online publications.
