D.M. Aderibigbe - One Poem

Battle

Mum's long-term battle with an unknown sickness came
To an end, the afternoon she was flown
To heaven with the dreaded plane driven by death.

Mum guitlessly commits an unforgiveable blunder
After she dies.
Grandma accuses a spotless devil of being a killer,
The devil calls grandma a first-class witch.

Money is the killer, money is the first-class witch,

Mum never had a splendiferous medication,
Mum never had nutritious chows to shield her
In the course of the war,
Mum lost in the battle of life.
