William Wright Harris - Four Poems

Blue

moby dick

waves crash & storm about as
chunks of timber & bits of sailors as
bloated & scattered as
the foams that choke them as

taurus looks down form the heavens
in apathy

gouche & ink on composition board

Dance of the Veils

picasso painted her with
lines

accenting the muscles
under neath

her skin shaded in green
eyes closed & naval pointing

lips pressed
to gether as

two bodies embracing
each
other

them
selves

  Fatata te Mouà

gauguin paints a
landscape
almost bent in
supplication he
touches sun
light on
to leaves with his
warm brush
strokes

  Love&pain

inter
twine at some point

two
puzzle pieces

wrapped
in limbs&breath

joined
by blood&tears

ending
where they begin

munch
sobs in anguish

under
lips parted&broken
