Lawrence Gladeview - One Poem

Jesus Christ Superstar at Lincoln Center

at the
theatre house
saturday night
i shared
the bathroom
with
pontius pilate

standing
side by side
we discussed
the stage
players,
and audience

pontius
zipped up,
bid me
merry viewing
of the
second act,
and retreated
to his seat,
skipping the sinks.

Lawrence Gladeview has published over sixty poems in print and online literary publications. He is co-editor of MediaVirus Magazine and lives in Colorado with his wife Rebecca Barkley.

  1. I enjoyed this poem. It mirrors what happens here in this Spanish town where the Easter events are re-enacted every year by the local residents.
